Boundless Bids pushes playground past $100K

When we launched the Boundless Bids auction, we hoped it would help move the needle. What we didn’t expect was just how meaningful that momentum would feel.
We were excited to raise $5,505 through the auction platform. Like ridiculously excited. And then we did the math. This $5K, paired with two recent $10,000 donations from the Beattie community, have pushed us over the $100,00 mark.
We've raised $108K since the start of this whole effort, and each time dollars have come in, our committee has cried with joy ... and a bit of relief.
While we will very much miss Beattie’s current playground, it has shrunk so much in the past six years, we know it's time to let it go. And the reality of time passing by so quickly has driven this effort. We've said it a million times: Playgrounds aren’t just equipment. They’re where friendships form, where kids test their courage, and where countless recess memories are made. Watching the current structure age — and knowing it will soon be removed — has made the goal of building something new and inclusive feel even more urgent.
The auction was one more step forward, and it only worked because of our community. Local businesses donated experiences, services, and products. Families and neighbors placed bids. Supporters shared the auction with friends. Every bid, every share, and every donation added up.
Crossing the $100,000 mark is a milestone, but we’re not quite done yet. With the district planning to remove the current playground equipment at the end of May, we’re working hard to close the remaining gap so installation can move forward smoothly.
If you’ve supported this effort already, thank you. Truly. Each contribution brings us closer to the moment when Beattie students will run out to recess and see a playground built for them.
And if you’ve been following along and waiting for the right moment to help, this is it. We’re so close, and have one more fundraising effort planned this school year. Give to Lincoln begins May 1, and we have all the ideas for making it another success like 2025. Learn how you can help.
Let's finish this!
